Article: Book Day Special 📖 5 Inspiring Reads from My Personal Library

Book Day Special 📖 5 Inspiring Reads from My Personal Library

Today is Book Day, and how could it be otherwise, I wanted to share five recommendations with you. These are all books from my personal library that I especially recommend for creative people and anyone looking for inspiration.

(The order isn’t important and this isn’t a ranking, I’m just numbering them to keep things organized!)

  1. Mini Art of Harry Potter: Graphic Design. As a BIG fan of the saga, this beautiful little book has been part of my collection for years. It’s filled with hundreds of inspiring designs based on the graphic work from the films.

  2. Faeries, by Brian Froud and Alan Lee . Without a doubt, a classic of fantasy that blends investigation with a magical world.

  3. Art of the Occult: A Visual Sourcebook for the Modern Mystic, by S. Elisabeth. A very inspiring and much-needed collection, especially if you’re looking to immerse yourself in imagery and a rich archive of artistic references, accompanied by insightful context.

  4. The Witch: A Study of Superstition in the Middle Ages, by Jules Michelet. The title says it all. Definitely one to note down if you’re interested in this topic!

  5. The Creative Act: A Way of Being, by Rick Rubin. I was actually gifted this one today, so it’s too soon to give a full opinion, but I’ve heard great things and it looks very promising!

I hope you find these recommendations helpful! Have you read any of them? Is there one that catches your attention? I’d love to hear your thoughts, and if you have any inspiring book recommendations of your own, I’d love to hear them!

Warmly,

Marta
